Job Description

This position is part of Taskforce BPO's Medical Services Division. As a Medical Coder, you'll be in charge of reviewing procedures of patients at US hospitals/medical clinics and assigning each procedure a specific code for healthcare providers to ensure proper reimbursement. The Medical Coder will ensure the codes are applied correctly and timely during the medical billing process, which includes identifying the information from documentation, assigning the appropriate universal medical alphanumeric codes (this will be part of your training), and creating a claim to be paid by insurance carriers. Determining correct codes or items requires a high degree of accuracy and control - but don't worry, you'll be provided with 3-4 months of education and training prior to the job!
